Gabriel Guimarães is a Mechanical Engineer and Patent Specialist who joined Licks Attorneys’ Rio de Janeiro off ice in 2019 to work with intellectual property, mainly with prosecution of patent applications/patents at the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Off ice (BRPTO), with emphasis on the mechanical fi eld. Gabriel analyses and reports technical opinions issued by BRPTO and prepares briefs to comply/contest these technical opinions. He has knowledge of the Brazilian Patent Statute, normative instructions and examination guidelines issued by the Brazilian PTO.
